I love Church of the Southland! No words can express what a privilege it is to be part of a devoted group of people that love God and one another. Southland is a contagious place, full of encouragement, appreciation, fellowship, and hospitality that truly shows Christ at the center of it all.

As I was preparing to move to Southern California, I came in contact with Pastor Peter through email. Although we didn’t know each other, he replied to my constant emails and was always willing to go out his way to help me, a complete stranger. He helped me find a place to live at Senny & Kathy’s place. When I arrived, I realized my geographical location was extremely limiting, as I had no vehicle. I never realized how important having a vehicle in Southern California was until I arrived. So for the few weeks I had no car, people from the church consistently asked how I got to church and were always making themselves available. Then Pastor Peter got me in contact with Tommy where I found myself a nice vehicle.

Settling into the Southland community was an amazing process that infused me quickly and smoothly. Edwin and Queena welcomed me to the Southland community and to the City of Los Angeles by taking me to the beautiful Grove. We walked, talked, and ate together sharing about both church and personal matters. It was an awesome time to draw closer to one another and for me to really establish new friendships. In addition, my cell group was another genuine place where my small band of brothers adopted me into the family. This was a place of true fellowship and intimacy where we shared, studied the Word and prayed together. I could truly be myself, as they allowed me to share from the heart all my joys and sorrows. This was a place of trust, love, and intimacy.

What can I say? Southland is the best and if I could, I would be the mascot for our church. Each time we meet, an excitement and thrill surges within my heart and overflows into a glowing smile. I love being surrounded with such loving brothers and sisters, as uncontainable happiness and joy wells up inside me. Indeed there is a sense of being home with my family and nothing beats home sweet home. Southland is my home and I want everyone to experience and be a part of a living church of love, intimacy and fellowship. I love Church of Southland!
