Do you ever feel like there is so much to say to God, but there are no words to describe what you're feeling, what you're going through, you don't even know what to ask for? That's how I felt going up to prayer mountain this weekend with 35-40 Southland brothers & sisters. How could a few words that are one dimensional describe the kaleidoscope of emotions, questions, and thoughts in my heart? They simply couldn't. But knowing this, God met me where I was.

As our wonderful praise team led us in worship into His presence, the Holy Spirit led me in prayer. As I confessed my loss for words and sat in silence, the Holy Spirit started to stir the deepest dwellings of my heart and caused my mouth to open. Not in English, not in Korean, but through a spiritual language, a.k.a. tongues.

Although words couldn't suffice... the Holy Spirit brought such a release, such freedom, and much needed peace through incomprehensible groans...groans even I didn't understand. Did God say anything to me? Not really. He simply gave me the things I needed...peace and hope that everything was going to be okay...even if things don't turn out the way I want them to...
it was going to be okay.

I don't know if it's the tall trees, bright stars, and nature, or if it's the sense of feeling like you're somehow closer to heaven and God, but there is definitely something wonderful about prayer mountain. Silencing the noise of our every day lives and retreating into the mountains to meet with God... rather God meeting us... it is oooh so good.
