99 Days to Pentecost: Day 68

Day 68 - April 22, 2021

1 Thessalonians 2 (Read Full Chapter)
13 For this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of mere men, but as what it really is, the word of God, which also is at work in you who believe.

“Written Upon our Hearts”
Written by Pastor Joseph Noh

Apostle Paul affirms the church in Thessalonica for their wholehearted commitment to the Gospel and steadfast trust and hope in the word of God. In the face of much persecution and criticism as followers of Jesus, the believers dedicated their loyalty not primarily to their leaders, church, or one another, but to the undeniable truth of the word of God that was revealed to them.

Differing thoughts, opinions, and popular trends have persisted in societies and cultures over the entire course of human history, but the truth of God remains and reigns supreme. May we continue to read, discern, and depend on the word of God for our lives, above any and all noise of the world.

Take time to reread 1 Thessalonians 2 and prayerfully reflect on God’s Word to you through this chapter.
